Le Petit Newsletter

Le Petit Atelier's inaugural Newsletter

Hello Art Friends, welcome to 2025!

I’m so excited to send out Le Petit Atelier’s very first newsletter! Think of this as a little way to stay connected, share upcoming workshops and programs, and keep you in the loop about all the cool art happenings nearby.

Le Petit Atelier Torquay officially turned 4 years old on January 28! There have been plenty of moments along the way where I’ve thought about throwing in the towel, but your love for painting and the joy I get from teaching has kept me going. Seeing you experiment, learn, and create has been the most rewarding part of this journey. I’m so proud of all the fine works that have come out of the classes. I’m beyond grateful for your support, whether you've joined a class, attended a workshop, or simply shown an interest in the painting classes.

Le Petit Atelier exists because of you, and I can’t thank you enough.

A Little Favour… If you have a moment, I’d be so grateful if you could leave a Google review for Le Petit Atelier. Your kind words help others discover the studio and keep these classes running.

What’s Art’pening?

There are some fantastic exhibitions coming up—here are a few worth checking out:

The Other Art Fair – Melbourne Edition -
January 30 – February 2 -
The Timber Yard, Port Melbourne
. A fresh take on the traditional art fair, blending visual arts, music, and installations. It’s a great spot to discover unique, affordable artwork. I’ll be wandering around on Sunday—maybe I’ll see you there?

Hoop Gallery’s Members Exhibition
 - February 7 – 23
- The Sands Resort, Torquay
While Hoop Gallery undergoes renovations, their exhibitions are moving beyond the walls. The first show in this new series will be at The Sands Resort. Opening night is 7th of Feb 6-8pm

Melbourne Art Fair

 - A must visit if you love contemporary art. This fair brings together some of the best emerging and established artists from across Australasia.

Yayoi Kusama at NGV -
Now until April 21 -
If you haven’t seen this yet, it’s absolutely worth the trip. Kusama, who was born in 1929, is still creating mind-bending, immersive art that feels as fresh and relevant as ever.

Thanks for being part of this journey with me — I can’t wait to see what this year brings for us all.

Until next time,
